Anyway, I just wanted to say that I really like the differentiation between a job, a career, and a calling. It’s clear and it’s helpful.

I think it’s possible to have a job (or a career) and a calling on the side. For some people, that’s the best solution. For instance, I’m thinking of Franz Kafka who worked for an insurance company and wrote his amazing (if rather depressing) works on the side.

So, I think for some people, having a stable and perhaps boring job can allow them to pursue their calling in their free time.
