I liked how you described the meditative dimensions of Karate:
Even as Karate is a wonderful activity that will ultimately push the practitioner to the present moment, since a well-placed kick in the chest will bring us to the now faster than any meditation that this writer has practiced, it would be a disservice to state that it is the only activity that moves us to be present and to act with intention.
I’ve recently restarted doing Martial Arts and I’m constantly blown away by how much I’m learning that applies to life in general and how much I’m getting out of this hobby.
It sounds like I’m not the only one to have that experience.
